I have completed the Integrated course. How to split up the semester/year wise marks under Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree?

If you have a Dual/Integrated degree with both a Bachelor's and a Master's (BTech + MTech or BTech + MSc), enter the appropriate details separately in both the Bachelor's and Master's degree sections. In case of no such clear demarcation of Bachelor's and Master's components in the integrated degree provided by the Institute/College/University, you may choose the appropriate logical bifurcation of the integrated degree between Bachelor's and Master's components as they deem fit and the same may be entered in the JAP application form accordingly.

I have filled in my 10th/12th/Graduation percentage incorrectly in the CAT 2025 application form. Is it possible to correct this now if I have valid supporting documents?

10th/12th percentage can be updated while filling the JAP 2026 registration form by selecting YES for the question "Do you want to request change in data submitted during CAT Registration?".

The details for Bachelor/Master/Professional's Degree and Work Experience will be submitted fresh.

After submitting the completed JAP-2026 application form, no additional corrections or change requests will be permitted. However, during the preliminary scrutiny at the PI venue, if the verifier observes any deviations, they may initiate a data change request, which will be notified to the candidate.

What is the computing procedure for the calculation of SSC/10th/Equivalent examination and HSC/12th/Equivalent/Diploma examination for entering the JAP 2026 Application Form?

For computing the percentage of marks obtained in the SSC/10th/Equivalent examination and HSC/12th/Equivalent/Diploma examination, the total marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet should be considered for the overall percentage calculation, irrespective of the respective board's regulation (specified in the CAT 2025 application as well).

Maximum Marks (inclusive of all subjects) indicates the summation of maximum marks of all subjects (including electives, if any). For example, if there are five subjects with 100 marks assigned to each subject, the candidate should populate the 'Maximum Marks (inclusive of all subjects)' placeholder as 500. Total marks obtained (inclusive of all subjects) indicate the summation of actual marks obtained by the candidate in all subjects (including electives, if any). For example, if the candidate has obtained 450 marks by adding individual marks obtained in the five subjects, the candidate should populate the 'Total marks obtained (inclusive of all subjects)' placeholder as 450.

Example A: If Maximum Marks = 600. Total Marks Obtained = 481, then Aggregate Percentage = 80.16666. This needs to be rounded down to 80.16.

Example B: If Maximum Marks = 600. Total Marks Obtained = 455, then Aggregate Percentage = 75.83333. This needs to be rounded down to 75.83.

What is the computing procedure for the marks obtained in the Graduation and Post-Graduation?

For Graduation and Post-Graduation, the aggregate percentage of marks awarded by the Institute/University will be treated as final. If the Institute/University does not award the aggregate percentage of marks, it will be calculated based on the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the mark sheet, including all years/semesters.

If any Institute/University awards only letter grades or CGPA without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Institute/University specifying the equivalent marks or the conversion procedure, and the conversion from CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on this procedure, as certified by the respective University/Institution.

If any University/Institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.

If you are pursuing the Bachelor's Degree, kindly enter the aggregate percentage of marks obtained for the years/semesters of the degree course completed to date.

I have done an integrated course of B. Tech + M. Tech. As per my university regulation, the first 3.5 years are considered to be B. Tech. and the remaining 1.5 years are considered to be M. Tech. How do I enter my marks?

As per your University regulations, you will enter the aggregate percentage of the first 3.5 years under Bachelor's Degree and the remaining 1.5 years under Master's degree.

If you have a Dual/Integrated degree with both a Bachelor's and a Master's (BTech + MTech or BTech + MSc), enter the appropriate details separately in the Bachelor's and Master's degree sections. In case of no such clear demarcation of Bachelor's and Master's components in the integrated degree provided by the Institute/College/University, you may choose the appropriate logical bifurcation of the integrated degree between Bachelor's and Master's components as they deem fit and the same may be entered in the JAP 2026 application form accordingly.

I have completed dual Bachelor's degree courses (B.Com + B. Ed or BBA + LLB or any similar Degree in combination). How do I enter my marks for two Bachelor's degrees?

If you have more than one Bachelor's degree (for example, B.Com. + B.Ed. or BBA + LLB or BBA + B.Tech.), then click on the check box for "If you have more than one Bachelor's Degree" and fill the details for both the Bachelor's degrees. In the case of multiple UG/bachelor degrees, only the primary UG degree will be considered for eligibility, profile rating score, and as a preceding requirement for work experience, if any.

If your university's name does not appear in the drop-down, you may select the option "Others" from the drop-down list.
