6. 10th and 12th / Diploma

a) Marksheets and Certificates

b) For computing the percentage of marks obtained in the SSC/10th/Equivalent examination and HSC/12th/Equivalent/Diploma examination, the total marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet should be considered for the overall percentage calculation, irrespective of the respective board's regulation (specified in the CAT 2025 application as well).

c) Maximum Marks (inclusive of all subjects) indicates the summation of maximum marks of all subjects (including electives, if any). For example, if there are five subjects with 100 marks assigned to each subject, the candidate should populate the 'Maximum Marks (inclusive of all subjects)' placeholder as 500. Total marks obtained (inclusive of all subjects) indicate the summation of actual marks obtained by the candidate in all subjects (including electives, if any). For example, if the candidate has obtained 450 marks by adding individual marks obtained in the five subjects, the candidate should populate the 'Total marks obtained (inclusive of all subjects)' placeholder as 450.

d) The Aggregate Percentage should be entered as an accurate value, rounded down to 2 decimals.

Example A: If Maximum Marks = 600. Total Marks Obtained = 481, then Aggregate Percentage = 80.16666. This needs to be rounded down to 80.16.

Example B: If Maximum Marks = 600. Total Marks Obtained = 455, then Aggregate Percentage = 75.83333. This needs to be rounded down to 75.83.

7. Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree

Required Documents

  • Graduation Marksheet of all semesters/years.
  • A Degree Certificate is required for those who have graduated before 2025.
  • A Provisional Degree Certificate is required for those who have completed graduation in 2025 but have not received the degree certificate.
  • Those in the final year of graduation should upload the bonafide certificate in the format available under the Download section, which will be obtained from the competent authority.
  • Any other degree/certificate/marksheet - Master/Professional Qualification as mentioned in the CAT 2025 form.

Details for Bachelor's and Master's degrees

a) If you have more than one Bachelor's degree (for example, B.Com. + B.Ed. or BBA + LLB or BBA + B.Tech.), then click on the check box for "If you have more than one Bachelor's Degree" and fill the details for both the Bachelor's degrees. In the case of multiple UG/bachelor degrees, only the primary UG degree will be considered for eligibility, profile rating score, and as a preceding requirement for work experience, if any.

b) If you have a Dual/Integrated degree with both a Bachelor's and a Master's (BTech + MTech or BTech + MSc), enter the appropriate details separately in the Bachelor's and Master's degree sections. In case of no such clear demarcation of Bachelor's and Master's components in the integrated degree provided by the Institute/College/University, you may choose the appropriate logical bifurcation of the integrated degree between Bachelor's and Master's components as they deem fit and the same may be entered in the JAP 2026 registration form accordingly.

c) For graduates and postgraduates, the aggregate percentage of marks awarded by the Institute/University will be treated as final. Suppose the Institute/University does not award the aggregate percentage of marks. In that case, it will be calculated based on the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the mark sheet, including all years/semesters.

d) The completion date of the bachelor's degree should be the date as printed on the marksheet (either the result declaration date or marksheet issue date, whichever is available) or the provisional/passing/degree certificate. In the case of any degree where there are internships after the final examination, the date of provisional/passing/degree certificate would be considered the date of completion.

e) If any university follows the semester system, you may provide the consolidated marks year-wise or separate marks semester-wise as per available mark sheets. If any university follows the trimester system, you must give the consolidated marks year-wise.

f) If any Institute/University awards only letter grades or CGPA without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Institute/University specifying the equivalent marks or the conversion procedure, and the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on this procedure, as certified by the respective University/Institution.

g) If any University/Institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.

h) If you are pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, kindly enter the aggregate percentage of marks obtained for the years/semesters of the degree course completed to date.

8. Professional Degree

Please select the professional degree/s you have obtained from the list of professional degrees, such as CA, ICWA, CS, etc.

a) If you have not received a bachelor's degree, completing any of the above professional degrees is mandatory.

b) If you have more than one Professional Degree (for example, CA + CS), then click on "Add More Rows" and fill in the required details. In the case of multiple professional degrees, only the first professional degree will be considered for eligibility, profile rating score, and as a preceding requirement for work experience, if any.

c) If you have a Professional Degree with a Bachelor's Degree, you may have any of the degrees as qualifying criteria for providing work experience. The starting date of work experience can be selected after the earliest completion of either of these two degrees.

d) In the case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/Institution. If any University/Institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.

9. Work Experience (If applicable)

ONLY Full-time remunerative work experience in terms of completed months after the date of declaration of Graduation/CA/ICWA(CMA)/CS results will be considered.

What will be considered as work experience?

ONLY Full-time remunerative work experience with Income Tax Deduction at Source, Provident Fund deduction, or Professional Tax (wherever applicable) will be considered as full-time work experience.

What will NOT be considered as work experience?

  • Fellowship/Unpaid work in any organization or institute
  • Salary received in cash or through UPI (Pay TM, Google Pay, etc.)
